Oh boy! Rose McGowan is definitely not holding back anymore – and that includes unapologetically admitting that she doesn’t like her former Charmed co-star, Alyssa Milano. Seriously, when you watch her latest interview with ABC’s Nightline, you’ll be shocked to see her say the words “I don’t like her.” Considering Alyssa and Rose are both fighting for the same cause (like taking down men like Harvey Weinstein), we can’t help but wonder why Rose feels so strongly.
It all started when co-anchor Juju Chang said “Your former Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano gets a lot of credit for helping #MeToo go viral,” to which Rose replied, “So?” That was followed by a little bit of awkwardness until Juju asked the actress if she’s proud of Alyssa.
“I don’t like her,” Rose said, stone-faced. “‘Cause I think she’s a lie.”
But, what she said next is what really raised some eyebrows. When Juju asked Rose why she thinks Alyssa is a lie, she responded, “Do you think I don’t know these people?”
“I’m not looking at this from the outside. I have a lot of experience,” she continued. “I know [Alyssa is] married to a CAA agent. Do the math. Who’s behind Time’s Up? CAA. Where do they meet? CAA? Who needs good PR? CAA. Who are part of the pimp problem? CAA.”
Watch the interview below:
That’s a lot to take in, isn’t it? At the end of the day, we don’t know what Rose claims to know about Alyssa and her husband, but her comments do sound like something a conspiracy theorist might say.
The CAA did not respond to a comment request by ABC, but Alyssa did send Nightline a statement following the interview: “I am and always have been completely supportive of Rose and admire her bravery and speaking out about her experiences,” she said. “My goal throughout the past few months with both #MeToo and the TimesUp movement has been to use my platform to give others a voice so we can all work together to stamp out sexual harassment and sexual assault.”
It also appears as though Rose knew Nightline would use her Alyssa comments as their headline.
Yeah, I knew this would be the pull quote, but the lie is a system, not an individual. https://t.co/4Lo3Iy2IQ9

But this isn’t the first time Rose has slammed Alyssa amid the #MeToo movement. In December, she called her out for standing by Harvey’s estranged wife Georgina Chapman. After Alyssa discussed how Georgina was handling the aftermath of the Weinstein scandal in an interview, her comments did not sit well with Rose, who shared her own opinion on Twitter.
“You make me want to vomit. You actually gave me a body flashback. Well done, fake one,” she wrote in one tweet, followed by “Alyssa, maybe you and Georgina can call up Camille Cosby.”
There has been a lot of drama behind-the-scenes of Charmed. As you may remember, Shannen Doherty left the show allegedly due to a feud with Alyssa, though the two have buried the hatchet in more recent years. We wish Rose and the rest of the actresses could find some common ground, as well. After all, they have the same goal: to end sexual and gender-based abuse in Hollywood.
