The moment Star Wars fans have been waiting for is finally here. After a promo teasing the real thing, the full trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story has debuted, giving fans a first look at the story behind Han Solo in his younger years, long before he met Luke and Leia and joined up with them to lead the resistance.

The trailer also gives fans the first glimpse of Alden Ehrenreich in the title role and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. If you had any doubt in your mind that these two were going to pull off these iconic roles, this new footage is all the reassurance you’ll need that the younger versions of the beloved characters are in good hands.

“I got kicked out of the flight academy for having a mind of my own,” Han says in the trailer. “I’m going to be a pilot. Best in the galaxy.”

The trailer includes so many action-packed moments from the movie, including the introduction of Woody Harrelson‘s character, who invites Han to join his team. It totally has the feel of every other Star Wars movie, while also offering the promise of reveals none of us can see coming just yet.

And let’s not forget that there seems to be plenty of Chewie in the movie, because what movie about Han Solo would be complete without his Wookiee BFF? Hopefully, this movie will answer a lot of questions that we’ve all had about Han’s life before A New Hope… and maybe even a little backstory on the Millennium Falcon as well, since the famous ship makes an appearance in the trailer.

It’s hard to imagine anyone else but Harrison Ford taking on the role of Han, but Alden definitely seems up to the challenge. There’s definitely some unease about it around the fandom, but from what we’ve seen so far — it seems there’s a good chance that this movie could become as loved as Rogue One was — another movie that took place in the same universe that fans weren’t sold on before they had the opportunity to see the full thing in theaters.

Sadly, just under two minutes of footage isn’t nearly enough to judge the rest of the movie by, but so far, it seems like it’s going to be an awesome addition to the franchise. And since it’s slated to hit theaters on May 25, there are only three more months of waiting to go. Let the countdown begin!
