Most Star Wars fans are prepared to get a little emotional over Carrie Fisher‘s final appearance in the franchise when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on Friday, but if that applies to you, you might want to bring a few extra tissues. It seems the movie has been dedicated to Carrie and her memory, and we can’t think of a more perfect way to honor this unforgettable princess.

According to people who have seen advanced screenings of the movie, a sweet tribute flashes on the screen when the credits are over that reads, “In loving memory of our princess, Carrie Fisher.” That single line sounds like it’s going to be a total gut-punch to see when the movie ends, especially because the highly-anticipated franchise installment will probably have a few plot-twists during its two hours 32-minute run-time.

And that’s not the only way Carrie has been memorialized as the movie’s release date gets closer. At The Last Jedi‘s Los Angeles premiere over the weekend, director Rian Johnson took the stage to dedicate the entire evening to her as well. As Vanity Fair reported, Johnson said:

I want to dedicate tonight to Carrie. I know she’s up there right now flipping me the bird, saying, “Damn it Rian, how dare you bring the mood down and make this night a solemn tribute.” So let’s all have a blast together for Carrie.

Rian’s right — that totally sounds like something Carrie would say.

Carrie’s daughter, Billie Lourd, also paid a special tribute to her mom on the red carpet that night. Not only did she wear the same ring that Carrie wore to the premiere of The Force Awakens, but she copied Leia’s hairstyle from the end of A New Hope, too. Is it just us, or is she totally her mom’s mini me?

If you cried a little bit over that, don’t be ashamed — you’re definitely not the only one. It’s easy to get so caught up in ~the feels~ about seeing The Last Jedi so soon… and Carrie’s death last December was so unexpected that it’s been difficult to cope with the idea that she’s really gone. But knowing this is the last time we’ll see her as Princess Leia? Heartbreaking.

It’s hard to imagine the future of Star Wars without Carrie and the iconic character she portrayed, but it’s clear that she’ll never be forgotten, no matter where the franchise goes from here. Wherever Leia is in the galaxy now, maybe she’s finally at peace with Han Solo, where she truly belongs.
