For years real life neighbors Jimmy Kimmel and John Krasinski have been waging a prank war that makes Jim Halpert’s pranks on Dwight Schrute look like child’s play. In the past, they have gift wrapped cars and turned houses into winter wonderlands complete with snow machines and carolers.
This year Jimmy and John took things to new heights.
While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, John recounts with Jimmy the prank war that has been going on for four years and their plans for this year. This time John thought he had the upper hand by starting things off first, but was later proved to be very wrong. The prank battle got off to a particularly naughty start with John getting a very pantless Santa to appear outside the windows of Jimmy’s office. While they watch the video Jimmy says, “That was way more graphic than it appeared on TV.” Next a live reindeer was put in Jimmy’s dressing room to scare him half to death and while that seemed like enough to Jimmy, he was in for even more.
Turns out John had filled Jimmy’s office with Christmas decorations like life-size polar bears, fake snow and giant presents and later popped out dressed as a nutcracker (which was surprisingly a very hot look for him). With John’s big prank revealed, it was Jimmy’s turn. He shows John that he made signs for a Celebrity Yard Sale with John’s face and real address on them and posted them all over Los Angeles. With the sign reading a 6 a.m. start for the sale, it looks like John will be having an early morning full of fans in his front yard looking to buy signed Office scripts. After watching the prank unfold, John says “You know when you forget to laugh because all you’re thinking about is like ‘This is going to be so awful.’”
Just when you think poor John has had enough, there’s one more surprise. An eggnog shower.
We’re already looking forward to what these crazy kids will think of next.
