The last couple of years have been all about bringing ’90s shows back to TV, and with the success that the Will & Grace reboot has had, it doesn’t seem too far off to think that NBC might be thinking about reviving some of their other sitcom hits. Obviously, one that a ton of us would love to see is Friends, but after so many reunion rumors have come and gone over the years, is it ever going to happen? In a new interview with InStyle, Jennifer Aniston revealed that she’d definitely be up for a Friends reunion… but some of her costars might not necessarily feel the same.

While talking to the magazine, Jennifer opened up about the fact that reuniting at Central Perk isn’t just something on her radar — it’s something that she, Lisa Kudrow, and Courteney Cox have talked about before. And yes, she knows how much all of us are dying for another season of the show.

“Before that show ended, people were asking if we were coming back,” she said. “Courteney and Lisa and I talk about it. I fantasize about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don’t know what it would look like today, but you never know. So many shows are being successfully rebooted.”

She’s right. Not only has Will & Grace come back for the indefinite future, but before Roseanne crashed and burned thanks to Roseanne Barr’s racist tweets, it was breaking records (and has even sparked a spin-off without the title character). Charmed is also headed back for TV this fall, and who can forget Netflix’s revival of Gilmore Girls? Making old shows new again is a huge TV trend right now, so what’s stopping Friends for being the next hit reboot?

According to what Jennifer said, it sounds like it’s the guys. Apparently, Matt LeBlanc isn’t quite as on board as the girls are, although she didn’t mention what Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer think. She’s willing to try to change his mind.

“I know Matt LeBlanc doesn’t want to be asked that question anymore. But maybe we could talk him into it,” she said. “Or we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot The Golden Girls and spend our last years together on wicker furniture.”

Honestly, would anyone be against that idea? Because if we had the chance to see Lisa, Courteney, and Jennifer back in action on screen again, we’d watch just about anything they came up with.

Sounds like at least a few of the pieces of a potential Friends reboot are falling into place, though. Now, we just have to wait… and maybe start a letter writing campaign to convince Matt that the world needs Joey Tribbiani right now. It could work!
